History

Built-in 1816, this exclusive Irish country house is a majestic Georgian sanctuary in a magnificent private waterside setting spanning two acres of landscaped gardens. The property oozes history; it is believed the IRA Anti Treaty tried to occupy the property in 1922, and the property was owned by American singer/songwriter and pianist Tori Amos from 1995 until 2019. Many of Amos's albums were written here when it was turned into a residential home with the recording studio


Location

The property is perched on an elevated site on the banks of the River Bandon, just a five-minute drive from the picturesque town of Kinsale. Located just a 30 minute drive from Cork Airport.


Accommodation

The property has 8 large king-sized beds, six bathrooms, an impressive-sized sitting room with high ceilings, large sash windows with views over the garden and down towards the river, and a period-style fireplace. The dining room can seat 24 guests. The professional, fully fitted kitchen includes an island unit with seating and is equipped with two large ovens for in-house cooking/catering. 


Period Home Features

The house is airy and light-filled, with tall ceilings and extraordinary twelve-over-sixteen-sash windows. A cantilever staircase with a spectacular oriel window leads up to the upper level. The property has been restored, decorated, and refurbished to the highest standard, ensuring its Georgian status remains intact.

The garden has a fifty-foot climbing frame, goal posts , trampoline, swing, slide and an outer building containing table tennis and a football table.
There is also mini goal which is seasonal

To the rear of the house is a courtyard with original cut stone walls, which houses a large luxury thatched garden gazebo for all year-round relaxation, dining, or entertaining. It is complete with heaters and protective canvas awnings to protect from the elements so you can enjoy the outdoor experience in ultimate comfort. Here you will find a large dining table and a relaxed seating area for al fresco dining.

The property sleeps 24 guests as standard, extra beds are only added after 24 guests are booked to stay, 32 guests maximum.

A few rules 

•You must be 23 years of age or older to hire this property.
•No Pets allowed.
•If it's a stag weekend please declare this before booking, as extra questions will be asked, failure to do so may mean you not being able to enter the property on arrival and you will not be refunded.
•We do accept hen weekends.

Only guests named on the booking are permitted to access or use the property and grounds. Day visitors are not permitted unless agreed in advance. Where agreed, day guests are charged at €50 per person per day.
