Set above the Adriatic in the heart of Bari’s prettiest seaside quarter, this loft is located in a restored 19th-century merchant’s residence reimagined as twelve elegant boutique apartments. Each apartment boasts views stretching across the water, and you're overlooking the medieval watchtower that lends the palazzo its name. Step outside and you’re immediately immersed in Torre a Mare’s relaxed rhythm – neighbourhood cafes, gelaterias and seafood trattorias line the streets, while small coves and sandy beaches are just a five-minute walk away. With local buses and trains close by, the centre of Bari, Alberobello and the wider Puglian countryside are all within easy reach.

Home truths:
*You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
*At full capacity, the loft can sleep up to four guests with two on the sofa. This could feel a little cramped though, so we think this arrangement is best suited to families with children, rather than groups of adults.
*There is free parking on the street outside this home.
*Well-behaved pets are welcome to join you upon request.
*This home is located within an apartment building, with a shared entrance. Expect to bump into other guests during your stay.
