This area is known for its stunning landscape and cultural heritage, with local sites including Stonehenge (6.5 miles) Wilton House (7 miles) Woodhenge (8 miles) drawing many visitors for good reason. The village itself is home to a nature reserve complete with scenic lakeside walks, fishing lakes and a choice of cafes. If striking architecture combined with retail therapy is your style, a visit to the cathedral city of Salisbury (8 miles) and iconic Bath are a must (24 miles). Also within 20 miles are the eclectic towns of Frome, known for its independent shops and vibrant Tisbury, home to several artisan food stores or take a day trip out to Longleat or Stourhead. A true country escape, this charming thatched cottage is set within the heart of the village and is approached through a five bar gate to the rear. This leads to a gravel path and steps to the entrance door. Once inside you are met with an inviting dining hall where you can enjoy leisurely meals around the central table. To the right is the kitchen, which has a range cooker set within the beautiful inglenook fireplace, complete with original decorative bread oven, which sits alongside all of the contemporary conveniences you would expect. Heading back through the dining hall you will come to the stylish lounge, which has comfortable seating arranged beside the inglenook fireplace, which is complete with a wood burner. There is a smart TV so you can enjoy your favourite shows and a staircase leads from here to the first floor, where you will find the three inviting bedrooms as well as a shower room and the bathroom, which has been newly fitted in 2023. Heading outside the garden is mostly laid to lawn, with a pretty stone patio area directly beside the cottage with furniture ideal for dining or simply relaxing with a sundowner.
