This Mustang Island home is in a community resort just moments from the beach. You can use the shared facilities here – which include three swimming pools, a fitness centre, and a children’s play area – and with entertainment on offer too, there’s plenty to keep you busy. Back home is readymade for a fuss-free stay, with a sociable open-plan living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a choice of balconies and decks. The sleeping set up might not suit everyone – a few of the beds aren’t in self-contained bedrooms – but if that’s not a dealbreaker, we think this is a great choice for a group getaway.

Home truths:
*There are two sleeping areas off the communal areas here – one has two bunk beds, and the other has a bunk bed and a single bed. These are best suited to children.
*You'll have access to the on-site swimming pools, fitness centre, children’s play area, and fishing dock here. They're shared with the resort’s other guests. You can also enjoy the on-site entertainment, which includes live music, activities, and seasonal events.
*Your host provides a starter supply of washing-up liquid, toilet paper, and toiletries, but you might want to bring your own to top this up.
*The lead guest must be at least 25.
*Guests are asked to keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.
*While the home can sleep up to seventeen people, the maximum occupancy is fourteen guests.
