A beach house that makes the most of its position on the Gulf Coast, this Port Aransas retreat layers outdoor living across wrap-around porches and a third-floor tower deck with views stretching over the Great Lawn, the Dune Pool, and out to the water. When you're not up top catching the breeze, the resort's three pools and a private beach crossover – just a few steps from the front door – give you plenty of reasons to stay outside. Back inside, the high-ceilinged kitchen and dining space handles a big group dinner with ease, and an on-site Mediterranean bistro and pizzeria mean you won't need a car to eat well.

* The lead guest must be at least 25 years old.
* While this home can accommodate two additional guests on the sofa bed in the first-floor den, the maximum occupancy is 14 guests.
* Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. You can park up to three vehicles in the covered spaces here.
* Construction can take place between 8am and 6pm Monday through Saturday, with occasional Sundays – worth bearing in mind if you're hoping for peaceful mornings on the porch.
* You'll have access to the on-site swimming pools, fire pits, a fitness centre, and a playground here. They're shared with the resort's other residents.
* Your host provides a two-day starter supply of essentials – dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, bath soap, shampoo, and a few other basics. After that, you'll need to pick up anything extra from a local store or bring your own supplies for a longer stay.
* Your host asks you to respect quiet hours after 10am.
