From the balcony, Paris unfolds in that particular way it does from a residential street – unhurried, lived-in, entirely the real thing. The light-filled living room and bedroom face the same direction, so the city is never far from view. On the ground level, the 17th arrondissement delivers: morning bread from nearby bakeries, the rue des Moines market, and Guy Môquet metro station a short walk away for quick access to Saint-Lazare in around eight minutes. Sacré-Cœur is a twenty-eight-minute walk, and the Champs-Élysées thirty-eight minutes on foot – plenty of Paris within reach without the tourist-district noise outside.

* At 38 square metres, this is a compact apartment designed for two guests who are happy to share a double bedroom. If you're a group of three or four, the sofa bed in the living area will be in use, so the living space doubles as a sleeping area.
* If you're travelling with a baby or toddler, your host can provide a travel cot for children up to three years old. It's worth requesting this in advance to make sure it's set up on arrival.
* As is common in France, the toilet is separate from the bathroom.
* At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area.
