Perched in the heart of the 9th arrondissement, this apartment is a clever retreat for two – the kind of neighbourhood where bars, cafes, and the Paris Opera are all reachable on foot. Sleep beneath a skylight in the attic bedroom, rooftop Paris drifting past above you, while the loft layout keeps everything compact and considered – though it does mean there are quite a few stairs. A metro stop two minutes away means the rest of the city is never far out of reach.

* The apartment is on the third floor and doesn't have a lift. To reach the bedroom, you'll also need to climb steep stairs – if you have mobility concerns, this apartment may not be the right fit.
* There are two air conditioning units here — one in the living room and one in the upstairs bedroom.
* Paris can be tricky for drivers, and this apartment is well served by the metro – we recommend leaving the car behind and using public transport to get around.
