A calm fourth-floor apartment in the 17th arrondissement, with tall windows that let the city's rooftops filter into the living space alongside plenty of natural light. The bedroom is quietly composed – a retreat after a day out – and the kitchen diner is compact but capable enough for longer stays. Pets are welcome here too, which makes it a practical base as well as a comfortable one. Montmartre and Place de Clichy are right on the doorstep, and the Musée d'Orsay is sixteen minutes away by car.

Home truths:
* This is a compact 35 sqm apartment. It works beautifully for two, but if you're a group of three or four, you'll want to factor in the size before booking.
* At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area. The only bathroom is the en-suite off the bedroom so privacy will be limited.
* Pets are welcome here, but you'll need to add your pet as a guest before completing your booking.
* Parking in central Paris can be challenging, so we recommend using the metro where possible.
