Windows face a quiet courtyard, so you get natural light without the street noise – a real find in a neighbourhood this central. A trio of bedrooms and air conditioning in the living room round things out. The Musée d'Orsay is a twenty-five-minute stroll, the Musée du Louvre around thirty minutes on foot, and the Eiffel Tower reachable in forty – meaning most of what you came to see is walkable.

Home truths:
* Air conditioning is only available in the living and dining area – it's not in the bedrooms.
* This is a compact apartment for six, so space and storage can feel tight with a full group – it works best for smaller parties of three or four, or a family with younger children.
* One bedroom is separated from the living area by a glass door, so light and sound can travel between the two spaces. Two other bedrooms have interior-facing glass windows for natural light, as they don't have exterior windows. Curtains provide privacy.
* The apartment is on the ground floor but sits slightly above the courtyard, so you'll need to climb around ten steps to reach the front door.
* The kitchen here is compact. We think it's best for preparing light bites rather than large meals.
