Courtyard in Paris

Tucked into the Batignolles neighbourhood in Paris's 17th arrondissement, this townhouse sits among local cafes, bakeries, and grocery stores – everything a group needs to settle in quickly. The courtyard patio is an easy favourite, sheltered enough for morning coffee whatever the weather, and one bedroom opens straight onto it. When the evening calls for something quieter, the basement lounge doubles as a dedicated cinema room, well away from the main living space.

Home truths:
* The home is not suitable for infants or children, so it's best reserved for adult groups or older families.
* One of the bedrooms sleeps four people in two king-size beds – this room is on the mezzanine level and semi-open to the space below, so privacy is limited.
* One of the en-suite showers is open to the bedroom so privacy is limited.
* As is common in France, in one of the bathrooms, the toilet is separate from the bathroom.
* The kitchen is on the small side for a home that sleeps twelve – breakfast is very manageable, but if you're planning to cook dinner for everyone, it's worth adjusting expectations or dining out instead.
* Well-behaved pets are welcome to accompany you during your stay.
* Parking here can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to easily accessible public transport where possible. The metro and bus stops are about a ten-minute walk away.
