Bastille Oak

This apartment is well-placed to explore Paris. You'll find it in the lively 11th arrondissement, just a stone's throw from Place de la Bastille. Many eateries, music venues, and shops are in the local area, not to mention metro stations within walking distance that make travel a cinch. Back home, the cosy lounge is where you'll do your unwinding. A small kitchen is ready for you to whip up light bites, while the lofted bedrooms are comfortable – albeit a tad snug. There's also a sofa bed for guests five and six, but we think it'd be a squeeze.

Home truths:
*At full capacity, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living area. As there are only four chairs around the dining table, we think this home is best for a smaller group.
*This apartment is on the second floor of a building without a lift. You'll need to climb stairs to access it.
*The kitchen is compact and better suited for rustling up light bites.
*Both bedrooms are small, with low ceilings and little space to walk around the beds.
*As is common in France, the bathroom does not have a toilet. It's located in a separate WC.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot upon request.
