Inside, a sociable open-plan living area invites you to kick back and relax, whether around the dining table for fresh coffee and pastries each morning or on the chic sofa for a glass of wine after a day of exploring. Both bedrooms are simple yet wonderfully comfortable and we’re particularly fond of the main bedroom’s French doors that lead out onto a scenic Juliet balcony. Factor in the sleek marble-clad bathrooms, and you’ve got everything you need for a carefree stay.

When it comes to sightseeing, wander around nearby Plaza Mayor or Puerta del Sol (an eight-minute walk), visit the Royal Palace of Madrid (a five-minute walk) and sample the countless tapas bars and restaurants right on your front step.
