Description Cottage in Suffolk: Ipswich addremove

Nestled on the edge of the historic and famous Constable Country, this beautifully finished lodge is set in the ideal location for exploring the very best of Suffolk, ranging from local river walks to a short trip out to the coast. One must see is Flatford Mill, a Grade I listed watermill on the River Stour and bird watchers can enjoy a visit to RSPB Flatford Garden Nature Reserve, just two minutes down the road. There are golf courses and canoeing opportunities within 10 minutes reach. For those in need of retail therapy, Ipswich, Colchester and beautiful Bury St Edmunds with its famous markets are just half an hour away by car. For those who prefer to leave the car at home, Manningtree station servicing Liverpool Street is only five minutes away by taxi. Enter this wonderfully presented Scandinavian style lodge into the modern and open plan lounge/kitchen/diner which boasts gorgeous views out to the Dedham Vale through the bi fold doors spanning the front of the property. It is the heart of the lodge, where family or friends can gather to relax and enjoy the views. The chef of the group can put their culinary skills to work in the stylish kitchen, which features an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine. Sit down to enjoy your meals at the dining table which seats four. The lounge is a lovely space, with a comfortable sofa and chairs that surround a wood burner, perfect for cozy evenings during those cooler months. The sizeable Smart TV allows you to stream or watch your favourite shows with the sunset providing a perfect backdrop. There are two bedrooms; the master bedroom has a double bed with bedside tables, chest of drawers and a coat rack to hang your more formal garments, and the second bedroom has twin beds (which can be made into a king size on request), again with drawers and a coat rack, making this property ideal for a small family or two couples. The family bathroom has a bath, separate shower and WC, so why not revitalise your senses after a good night's sleep before heading out to explore the local area and beyond? Set within peaceful countryside, you couldn't find a better spot to enjoy your freshly ground morning coffee and breakfast, either al fresco on the terrace with the table and chairs provided, or in the comfort of the lodge. With the sunset in the background you'll be able to sink into the hot tub (from the 6th August 2021), recuperating after a day of fun and excitement. (For bookings between 1st November 1st April each year the hot tub is available by arrangement with the owner prior to arrival). There is off road private allocated parking for up to two cars.
