With its gentle shelving sandy beach as well as a variety of water sports including windsurfing and kitesurfing, it makes for a great day out. Why not take a trip to Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and enjoy a bike ride along the coast to Winchelsea Beach (3.3 miles)? Or nearby is the town of Hastings (10 miles), which is home to the country s oldest funicular railway and a host of family activities.
