Description At Home Under the Olives: Castellana Grotte

Surrounded by over one hundred centuries-old olive trees in the Apulian countryside, this stone villa is the kind of place where time slows down naturally. The pool is lit in the evenings, making it easy to linger well past sunset, and the covered veranda – with its wood-fired oven and barbecue – invites long, unhurried meals outdoors. One of the bathrooms sits inside an authentic dry-stone trullo, an only-in-Puglia touch that's hard to forget. Alberobello's UNESCO-listed trulli are about thirty-five minutes by car, and the famous Castellana Grotte caves are a twenty-four-minute walk away.
