Within the immaculately tended gardens, you'll find a large swimming pool, a pergola with outdoor seating and a brick oven that's ideal for wood-fired feasts under the stars. The grounds are dotted with cherry trees that make for a spectacular springtime show of pink blossoms, and in the summer, you're free to pick the fruit straight from the trees.

You can't come to the heel of Italy and not pay a visit to Alberobello, home to more than 1,000 Unesco-listed trulli houses – a mere fifteen-minute drive away. Elsewhere, half an hour's drive will see you arrive at Polignano a Mare, which is known for its beautiful beaches and steep limestone cliffs. Finally, approximately fifty kilometres away, the city of Bari is well worth a visit to experience its thriving local food scene.
