Follow the stream out of the garden and walk up onto Hatterrall Ridge to enjoy the breath taking views of the Black Mountains and the romantic ruins of Llanthony Priory nestled in the Vale of Ewyas. Alternatively enjoy looking up at Hatterrall from your secluded hot tub or luxurious covered seating area amongst the wildflowers with the stream running alongside. The traditional village of Longtown, more often renowned for its village store and 12th century Norman Castle, offers some of the best walking and mountain biking within the area from your doorstep, explore the Black Mountains, Offa s Dyke pathway, the Brecon Beacons and the Sugar Loaf; BikePark Wales is also within easy reach. Nearby are the market towns of Abergavenny with a regular farmers market and a food festival in September, Crickhowell nestled within the Usk Valley and Hay on Wye with an eclectic range of book shops and internationally regarded book festival in May/June, all with plenty of excellent restaurants. Downstairs the barn is open plan with a spacious and well equipped kitchen diner with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer machine; the comfortable lounge has a TV/DVD and, for the colder nights, a log burner.
