You'll find this cosy home only a fifteen-minute walk from the majestic York Minster. It's tucked away on a quiet street lined with pretty cottages, with the restaurants, pubs and shops in the city centre just a short stroll away. Open the front door and step into the charming living room. We love the repurposed fireplace – now a decorative statement piece – and the sheer amount of light spilling through the windows. Kick-off your shoes and snuggle up on the squishy sofa, watching your favourite films – the host provides complimentary Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts, so you'll have plenty of options. Come dinnertime, pad into the country-style kitchen and rustle up a meal – it's stocked with cookware and cutlery to make cooking a breeze. On sunny days, take your fare into the lovely courtyard and dine alfresco. Although it's small, we think the wisteria-covered walls and pretty flowerboxes turn it into a tranquil, whimsical space to unwind with a glass of wine as the day slowly draws to a close.
