Housed in a Grade II listed Georgian house dating back to 1901, this second-floor apartment may require a bit of climb to reach, but the views of York Minster and the ancient city walls are certainly worth it. Contemporary decor and an electric fireplace complete the snug living area, and access to the communal walled garden – also seen from the apartment – is a nice touch. Free on-site parking makes wider exploring a breeze, but you’ll find all of York’s main sights easily reachable on foot from this central spot, including York Minster, York City Walls and The Shambles.
