The open top floor is where you'll want to spend your evenings, with mountain and forest views stretching out from every angle and a fireplace to take the edge off after a long day on the mountain. Four bedrooms spread across multiple levels mean there's room to breathe, with a private main suite for when you need it.

Home truths:
* The home spans multiple levels, so you'll move between floors regularly – whether heading from the bedrooms to the top-floor living and kitchen area or making your way to different sleeping zones.
* During fire season, outdoor fire pit use is not permitted – worth bearing in mind if alfresco evening fires are part of your plan.
* The wi-fi can be temperamental here. It might be worth bringing a personal hotspot device with you if you know you'll need to access the internet.
* The fourth bedroom is arranged with a double-over-double bunk bed. We think it's best suited to a group of children.
* While the home can sleep up to ten people, the maximum occupancy is eight guests.
