Waking up to the Douro filling your bedroom window sounds like a dream – and this apartment on the Gaia riverfront makes it a reality. The living room offers the same panoramic outlook over Porto's historic Ribeira, so whether it's morning coffee or a late glass of port wine, the views are constant company. If you can pull yourself away from the view, the Gaia Cable Car is a fifteen-minute walk, Ribeira de Gaia's riverside promenade lined with bars and restaurants a twenty-minute stroll, and the UNESCO-listed Mosteiro Serra do Pilar is reachable in thirty.

* At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area. Keep in mind that the only bathroom here is en-suite, so those on the sofa bed will need access to the bedroom to use it.
* You're on the Vila Nova de Gaia side of the Douro, directly across from Porto's city centre. The walk across the river takes around twenty minutes, and there are good restaurants and wine caves on the Gaia side closer to the apartment if you'd rather keep it local. If you're short on energy, taxis and ride-shares are easy to pick up.
* One private parking space is included inside the building. It's on the snug side, so it suits a small or mid-size car best.
