This 16th-century Tuscan villa sits among Chianti’s rolling hills and vineyards. Views can be enjoyed from the private pool, shady patios, and terrace seating – and the main bedroom even has its own little balcony overlooking it all. Alfresco dinners are a must-do – there's a pizza oven and a barbecue to fire up once stomachs begin to rumble. Set just outside the hamlet of Vertine and a short drive from Gaiole, it’s a great base for food and wine lovers, with plenty of local wineries and restaurants close by. And if you’re in the mood for a day trip, Siena and Florence are both around an hour's drive away.
