Inside, however, things are strikingly modern, from the Italian designer furniture to the pastel-coloured walls. The two apartments that make up this home are alike in style, and both enjoy outdoor space – though you'll likely find yourself gathering for meals and drinks in the peaceful garden over the upstairs balcony. Bars and cafes line the nearby streets, still undiscovered by tourists, but it's just a ten-minute walk to the San Marcuolo vaporetto stop on the Grand Canal.
