From the bedroom of this Giudecca apartment, you can take in almost the entire length of Venice's historic centre, from St Mark's Campanile to the Rococo exterior of the Church of Saint Mary of the Rosary. While these views don't continue through the rest of the home, there's another surprise – a private, south-facing garden, where you can unwind in the sun and enjoy alfresco meals. The interiors offer an eclectic blend of the antique and the modern – nowhere is this more apparent than in the library, which hides a small jacuzzi. Giudecca is a quiet haven, yet a short vaporetto journey is all that stands between you and the historic sights of Venice.
