Inside, the house has a cosy, rustic feel, with exposed beams, stone floors, and two kitchens – ideal for cooking for a crowd. As with many traditional Italian homes, there’s no air conditioning, but you’ll find fans in the bedrooms and plenty of windows to let in the fresh countryside breeze. And should you crave a little culture, the medieval town of Umbertide – just 6 kilometres away – offers fortresses, piazzas and Roman ruins to explore.
