Ovenspring

Located on a no-through road that will ensure your privacy and peace, Ovenspring is a true countryside retreat. While you're close enough to the centre of the village to access local amenities (and some excellent pubs – The Plough is a favourite), you'll easily forget the rest of the world when you're surrounded by the historical features. As soon as you come in, you'll be greeted by the old bread oven, revealing this home's old function as a bakery, but there are plenty of other clues left around by the meticulous host. The walls often features exposed local brick, matching rustic art, and modern furniture that adds a sleek touch to the otherwise romantic setting. When it's sunny, you can take your meals outside on the terrace, but rain won't spoil your getaway either — not when you've got that lovely fireplace in the living room.

* One small well behaved dog is allowed, but it will incur a small additional fee
* A High chair, travel cot, and stairgate are available on request, but only when the second bedroom is configured as a single bed plus cot
* Both beds in the second bedrooms are divan beds that can be set up as singles, one bed with the other stored below it, or zipped together as a super king
* Due to this being a period building, there's limited headspace upstairs
