There's also plenty of outdoor space for enjoying views across the bay. Inside, a fireplace connects the living and dining areas, creating a comfortable space to gather after a day outdoors. The top-floor main suite features vaulted ceilings and a private balcony overlooking the water, while a bunk room provides a practical setup for younger guests. Heavenly Mountain Resort is around a twenty-four-minute drive away for winter skiing.

Home truths:
* This is a lived-in home. You should expect some of the host's personal belongings to be present during your stay.
* The barbecue is only available during summer months, so if you're visiting in winter you won't be able to use it.
* For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground floor bedroom and bathroom here.
* There's no air conditioning here, so summer stays can get warm. In winter, 4-wheel drive or snow chains may be needed to reach the home safely – worth planning for if you're renting a car.
* You'll have on-site parking for up to six cars – four on the driveway and two in the garage, though garage access is limited to one vehicle due to owner storage.
* The fireplace is a gas-assist wood-burning model, but wood is not provided – you'll need to source it locally or bring your own if you're planning on using it.
* While the dock is perfect for launching kayaks and paddleboards, you won't be able to moor a boat there.
