Perched on a hillside in Colombier, this villa looks out over the sea that stretches towards the islands of Nevis, St. Eustatius, and Saba – a panorama that meets you from the living room, the covered dining terrace, and the pool alike. That lower-level pool is surrounded by lounge chairs turned toward open water, with a shaded lawn beside it for alfresco lunches when the midday sun demands some shade. Each bedroom opens onto its own ocean-facing terrace. When you're ready to explore, Gustavia's luxury shops, restaurants, and harbour is just a short drive away.

Home truths:
* The villa is spread across several levels and separate buildings, so you'll be moving up and down staircases – including an external wooden staircase – every time you go between the living area, the pool, and the bedrooms. It adds to the hillside character, but it's worth bearing in mind if anyone in your group has mobility considerations.
* Your host can provide a cot and high chair for little ones upon request.
* Housekeeping is provided daily except on Sundays and public holidays. Towels are swapped every two days and bed linen every three days.
* Also included with your stay is a personalised welcome at St-Jean Airport or Gustavia Port.
* The second bedroom is in a separate bungalow.
