Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows retract completely, dissolving the boundary between the vaulted great room and the open air. Each bedroom has its own balcony facing the sea, and a private fitness room on the lower level means there's no reason to leave at all.

* Colombier is one of St Barths' quieter hillside areas – you'll want to rent a car to reach Gustavia's restaurants and shops with ease. Your concierge can arrange this for you before you arrive.
* The fitness room, walk-in shower, and yoga space sit on the lower level, separate from the main living areas upstairs – you'll be moving between floors if you plan to use them alongside the rest of the villa.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair at no additional cost. You'll need to request them in advance.
* The swimming pool isn't fenced.
* Housekeeping is provided daily except on Sundays and public holidays. Towels are swapped every two days and bed linen every three days.
