Perched on the heights of Colombier, this villa looks out over Gustavia's harbour and the surrounding bays – yachts drifting below, the horizon stretching wide. The infinity pool seems to dissolve into the ocean beyond, and the covered terrace makes alfresco dining feel effortless with that view as a backdrop. Vaulted ceilings keep the living spaces feeling light and generous, while each of the four king-size bedrooms – including one in its own bungalow with a private jacuzzi – has views over the water. Daily housekeeping and a full roster of on-request services, from a private chef to a yoga teacher, mean very little is left to organise yourself.

Home truths:
* The villa is spread across two levels and several pavilions, so you'll move between different structures during your stay – particularly if you're staying in the fourth bedroom, which is in a standalone bungalow that sits apart from the main villa.
* Your host can provide a cot and high chair for little ones upon request.
* There's a heated outdoor swimming pool here. Pool heating is available between 15th November and 30th April.
* You're on the heights of Colombier, which means hillside roads to reach the villa – you'll want a hire car to get around the island comfortably.
* Housekeeping is provided daily except on Sundays and public holidays. Towels are swapped every two days and bed linen every three days.
