There's plenty of character here – from the oil paintings to the wooden ceilings and tiled floors, lovers of all things traditional will find plenty of features to admire. The cosy living room is the perfect place to find some peace and quiet, while the games room is ideal for a competitive game of pool with your guests. The fun continues outside, where you can stretch out on a sun lounger then take a dip in the pool when the heat gets too much. And, come evening, you can gather your guests around the alfresco dining table for a delicious feast – don't forget some local red wine.

It would be easy to never leave this little patch of heaven, but if you want to get out and about then there are plenty of things to see and do. The Parco Regionale del Lago Trasimeno, with its fabulous lake, is a wonderful place for a walk, just thirty-five minutes away by car. Also thirty-five minutes away is the Riserva Naturale Lucciola Bella, where you can stop off at family-run restaurants and admire the beautiful scenery over a meal of local favourites.
