Slow Coast

Tucked into a resort on the 30A coast, this house is built for the kind of unhurried Florida holiday where the days blur pleasantly together. Exposed wood beams and wraparound porches give the home a relaxed, generous feel, while the private heated pool and spa mean you rarely need to leave the backyard. When you do venture out, five adult bikes and a six-passenger vehicle make it easy to explore. Seaside is just over two miles away, while the resort's community pools, club, and other amenities are all within easy reach, so there's always something to do.

Home truths:
* You'll have access to the resort's beach club, swimming pools, scenic nature trails, and coastal dune lake here. They're shared with other guests. Every guest aged 5 and over will receive a wristband for community amenities and pools. This home is allotted fourteen wristbands, so make sure your full party – including older children – is accounted for when you book.
* The sixth bedroom has a single-over-double bunk bed, which we think is best for children.
* Pack your own beach and pool towels – they're not provided.
* The lead guest must be at least 25 years old.
* Neither use of the fireplace nor the rooftop ladder is permitted at this home.
* Four parking spots are available here.
* Your host provides a six-passenger golf cart and five adult bikes to make getting around a breeze.
