A screened porch with an outdoor fireplace means evenings outside whatever the season, while the high-ceilinged living room brings everyone together after a day on the coast. Four bikes and a six-passenger low-speed vehicle are included for exploring the area, and access to WaterColor's Beach Club – three pools, a grill, and a sunset bar with Gulf views – means you're never far from the water.

Home truths:
* Every guest aged five or older counts toward the twelve-wristband allocation for WaterColor's pools and amenities – so if you're travelling with a mixed group of adults and older children, plan your guest list accordingly.
* Pack your own beach and pool towels – bath towels and linens are not to be taken from the home.
* Between May and October, sea turtle nesting season is in effect on the local beaches. You'll need to keep porch and balcony lights off at night and use only red-filtered torches on the beach – it's a legal requirement and local rangers do patrol.
* The lead guest must be at least 25 years old.
* The included golf cart has experienced occasional mechanical and suspension issues, so there may be times when servicing is required during your stay.
