Emerald Tides

Right on the Gulf, this Blue Mountain Beach home puts emerald water and sugar-white sand directly in front of you – step off the boardwalk and you're there. The living room and arched kitchen windows frame the same view, so the coast is never far from sight whether you're cooking or lounging. A cul-de-sac setting keeps things quiet, while a bakery, boutique grocery, and restaurants sit within easy reach. Bikes and a six-passenger low-speed vehicle are included, making it simple to cruise Scenic Highway 30A and discover the string of villages it connects.

Home truths:
* Along with a king-size bed, the first bedroom also has both a single-over-single and double-over-double bunk bed. We think this room works well for families sharing with young children.
* You'll need to bring your own beach and pool towels – bath towels and linens from the home aren't permitted outside except for laundering.
* You'll have one-car garage parking here, so if your group is arriving in multiple vehicles, you'll need to plan ahead for additional spaces.
* The lead guest must be at least 25 years old.
* You'll have access to the community swimming pool and grilling area here. They're shared with the resort's other residents.
