A five-century-old Ibicencan villa perched above the Santa Eulalia countryside, this is the kind of place where the view to Formentera and the rhythm of the afternoon conspire to slow everything down. Days here tend to arrange themselves around the pool terrace, the shaded alfresco dining area with its outdoor kitchen, and the hammock. When you eventually head inside, the original kitchen fireplace and built-in sofas make it hard to move on. Las Dalias hippy market and the village of San Carlos are both within an eight-minute drive, and Aigües Blanques beach around twelve-minutes from the front gate.

* You'll need a car to get the most out of your stay here. The nearest shop is an eight-minute drive, and the closest beach is around twelve minutes away – so day-to-day errands and beach trips all require wheels. The good news is there's ample parking within the private grounds.
* Air conditioning is only available in the two upper-floor bedrooms. The ground-floor bedrooms rely on ceiling fans and the natural cooling effect of thick stone walls, which works well but won't match the precision of air conditioning on the hottest days.
* For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground floor bedroom and bathroom here.
