Perched on the third floor of a 16th-century building, this apartment puts you directly above the pulse of Rome's historic centre – Piazza Navona is just a few minutes away, and the Pantheon also within easy walking distance. Inside, the antique atmosphere may not be everyone's taste, but the view from the living space – stretching out over Rome's rooftops – makes up for it, and the four-poster suite is the kind of place you'll be reluctant to leave.

Home truths:
* Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay.
* There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home. We wouldn't recommend it for guests with reduced mobility or those with heavy luggage.
* At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area, and two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the bedroom. You'll share one bathroom here, so we'd recommend a maximum occupancy of four guests.
