Comfortable and full of character, this is a charming base for a Roman holiday. Staying here means your downtime in Rome will be spent surrounded by books and antique furniture, curled up by the fireplace, and dozing beneath wooden beams. There’s a petite kitchen to cook in, but with so many trattorias and pizzerias nearby, you can easily dine out. The apartment is halfway between the neighbourhoods of Trastevere and Borgo, a short walk from the Vatican and its museums and historic Castel Sant’Angelo.
