Rock is one of Cornwall's most quietly coveted villages, and this detached house is well placed to make the most of it – a five-minute walk from the bakeries and restaurants along Rock Road, with the South West Coast Path connecting you to Daymer Bay and Polzeath from the door. Back inside, the dual-aspect lounge with its fireplace and full-width media wall is good for evenings in, while a separate games and media room means groups never have to compromise on how they spend a rainy afternoon. The enclosed rear garden, with its charcoal barbecue and summer hot tub, rounds things off nicely.

* The hot tub is only available in July and August – if you're visiting outside those months, it won't be in use during your stay.
* Bedroom three's zip-and-link bed can be set up as a super king or split into two singles – let your host know your preference in advance so the room is ready on arrival.
* If you're travelling with a baby or toddler, your host can provide a travel cot and high chair – worth requesting ahead of your arrival.
* Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay.
