Situated in Porto Heli, on the eastern side of the Peloponnese, this beachfront villa is a place where families or friends can switch off and enjoy the Mediterranean sunshine. Inside, the open-plan living space is bright and breezy – we loved the wall of windows and lashings of crisp white paint. After an uninterrupted sleep in quiet bedrooms, tuck into a tasty home-cooked breakfast on the balcony. Once the plates are cleared, grab your sun hat and scamper down to the pebble beach at the bottom of your garden.

In the afternoon, enjoy traditional Greek mezze in a waterside restaurant, a fifteen-minute walk away. If you’re in the mood for an adventure, catch the ferry to Dapia village on the idyllic island of Spetses. Stroll along the promenade as fishermen lay out their catch on the shore, then find a spot to enjoy a moment of stillness by the impossibly clear Myrtoan Sea.
