This solar-powered house is built for warm-weather living – the walled pool area and sun-drenched deck with a fire pit are natural anchors for the day, while a covered games area keeps things lively when you've had your fill of the water. Pets are welcome, bikes and fishing charters can be arranged, and there's parking on site for those arriving loaded with gear. Pompano Beach Pier is a nineteen-minute drive, and the waterfront Pompano Beach Amphitheatre around eighteen-minutes.

Home truths:
* This villa is the lower level of a duplex. An upstairs suite with its own private entrance can be occupied separately by other guests – though your host ensures you'll have complete privacy and won't be disturbed.
* You'll need a car to make the most of the area. The beach is just over a mile away and most local highlights are a short drive, so we recommend hiring one if you're not already arriving with wheels.
* For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground floor bedroom and bathroom here.
* At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the futon in the first bedroom or sofa bed in the living room.
* While this home can accommodate two additional guests on the sofa bed, the maximum occupancy is twelve guests.
