Back inside, two stone fireplaces, vaulted timber ceilings, and a dedicated cinema room make evenings just as compelling as the days on the mountain. A private hot tub on the patio is waiting when you return from the slopes, and Main Street's restaurants and shops are an eight-minute drive away when you're ready to venture down into Park City.

* The Silver Star lift is operated by Park City Resort, so access isn't guaranteed – operations depend on weather and resort staffing. It's worth checking conditions before you travel.
* You're slopeside and about an eight-minute drive from Main Street, and the on-demand shuttle means you can get into town without a car. That said, if you're planning day trips further afield – to Deer Valley, for example – having at least one vehicle in your group will give you more flexibility.
* Two families staying together worked really well here, with enough space and bedrooms that each group had room to spread out. The layout means you can share the living areas and still have private retreats when you want them.
