Spanning three levels, this rustic home in Silver Lake makes a fantastic base for groups. There are two separate living areas, so grown-ups and kids can each have their own space. Those lucky enough to claim the main suite will enjoy a spa-like bathroom, though the other bedrooms are just as cosy. And, of course, there's the balcony. Nothing beats a soak in the hot tub after a long day on the mountain. Speaking of skiing, you'll be just a short walk from the slopes – simply grab your gear and head out the back door.


Home truths:
*At full capacity, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the mid-level living area.
*The full bathrooms here are en-suite. While guests staying on the sofa bed have access to a separate toilet, they'll need to use the en-suites for showering.
*Although there's only seating for ten people at the dining table, there's additional seating for five at the kitchen island.
*This home is spread across three levels – it won't suit those who struggle with stairs.
*You can access the slopes by walking out the back door and down the steps. It's approximately a 100-yard walk back to the home after your adventure – you can also hop on the bus.
*We suggest having a car in this area. Parking is available for two cars in the garage, with additional parking on the driveway.
