Tucked into the vine-covered hills of Lazise's hinterland, this villa sits among the vineyards that produce Bardolino wine – so the landscape here is as much a part of the stay as the house itself. A covered porch with views over the pool and surrounding vines is the natural place to settle for long meals, with the barbecue on hand for evenings that call for something more relaxed. Inside, the living room's traditional fireplace makes it easy to stay put when the air cools. The two en-suite bedrooms upstairs are quietly comfortable, and pets are welcome too.
