Built for families who want more than a theme-park base, this home sits within eighty acres of resort grounds a short walk from International Drive and under two miles from Epic Universe and Universal Studios Orlando. The kids' bedroom – styled as a full pirate adventure, complete with bunk beds built to look like a shipwreck and a skull cave – will delight younger guests, while the screened pool terrace keeps things easy for grown-ups who'd rather barbecue alfresco. A daily shuttle runs to Disney World and Universal, and when you're not heading out, the on-site Aqua Bay water park, Topgolf suite, and fitness centre give everyone plenty to do.

Home truths:
* The kitchen and bathrooms are stocked with basics to get you started, but you'll want to do a grocery run early in your stay to stock up on everything else.
* If you're planning to use the resort shuttle to the theme parks, reservations are required – so check the schedule and book your seats as early as possible, especially during busy periods.
* Sleeping ten in total, four guests will find themselves in the bunk room, with smaller-sized bunks that we think are best suited to little ones.
* For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground floor bedroom and bathroom here.
* The swimming pool isn't fenced.
* You'll have access to the on-site amenities here, such as waterslides, pools, a fitness centre, and more. They're shared with the building's other residents.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair. You'll need to request them in advance.
