Description Midtown Brick: New York

Right in the heart of the action, this Midtown townhouse delivers an excellent location. Central Park is a fifteen-minute walk, Times Square a ten-minute stroll, and multiple subway lines are within a block or two, so the whole city is easy to navigate. The Ninth Avenue restaurant strip is right outside the door for quick dinners or lazy weekend mornings. Back home, the design is cosy and comfortable, with period features like an exposed brick fireplace adding a touch of character. We think it's the ultimate retreat for groups in the Big Apple.

Home truths:
* The townhouse spans multiple floors with large staircases and low handrails – something to bear in mind if you're travelling with very young children or anyone with mobility considerations.
* You're right in the heart of Midtown, so street noise from the surrounding roads is part of the deal – light sleepers may want to pack earplugs.
