Place de la Comédie is a seven-minute walk, and the royal esplanade of Promenade du Peyrou – with its triumphal arch and sweeping views – is seventeen minutes on foot.

* Montpellier's historic centre is entirely pedestrianised, which makes driving in tricky. There is a public car park at the Gare very close by if you're arriving by car, and the public transport network is extensive – so we recommend leaving the car parked and exploring on foot or by tram once you're here.
* The apartment is on the second floor with no lift, so you'll be carrying luggage up the stairs on arrival and departure.
