Set among the rolling Tuscan hills near Santo Stefano, this villa is built for gatherings that fill every corner of the house and spill out into the gardens. Cypress trees frame the private pool terrace, where long afternoons stretch naturally into evenings around the built-in barbecue. When the temperature drops, the fireplace in the rustic living room pulls everyone inside, and the bedrooms feel rooted in the landscape right outside. With private parking on site and pets welcome, arriving as a large group – however you travel – is refreshingly straightforward.

Home truths:
* Due to the location of this home, we recommend hiring a car for ease of getting around. There are 12 open-air parking spaces on site, so there's plenty of room even for a large group arriving in several vehicles.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot on request. The fenced garden also gives younger children a safe space to play outside.
* The pool is only open between 1st May and 15th October, so if you're visiting outside those dates you won't be able to use it.
* While the some of the bedrooms and bathrooms aren't photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
