Set in Moltrasio on the western shore of Lake Como, this villa layers terrace upon terrace above the water, with open lake views from every bedroom and the Alps as a constant backdrop. The heated infinity pool looks straight out over the lake, and private access to the water means you can swim or moor a boat just steps from the door. A multi-level garden of olive groves and sun loungers gives the whole place a sense of depth, while the living room – with its spiral staircase and fireplace – pulls you in when the sun drops. Como Cathedral is about thirty minutes by car.

* The home is arranged across multiple levels and divided into four private suites, all internally connected by a shared staircase.
* While not all of the bathrooms are photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
* You'll have parking for up to six cars on site, but spaces are arranged in a tandem, single-line configuration — moving vehicles in and out will need a little coordination between guests.
* If you're travelling with a baby, a travel cot is available here — worth requesting from your host in advance to make sure it's set up on arrival.
* A road runs between the villa and the lake — you'll have private lake access for swimming and mooring, but there's no direct waterfront setting from the garden or ground level.
* While the home can sleep up to 14 people, the maximum occupancy is 10 guests.
