Situated in this former spa town surrounded by spectacular hills and limestone cliffs, you’ll easily able to explore a whole host of Derbyshire delights – with everything from the Peak District National Park to characterful Chatsworth House practically on your doorstep.

Whether you fancy, walking, caving, canoeing or even a visit to the Peak District Lead Mining Museum there’s something for everyone here. Alternatively, head just a little over a mile downriver to the picturesque spa town of Matlock Bath, where you’ll be able to take a cable car up to Heights of Abraham for breath-taking views of the Derwent valley and surrounding dales.
