Sunset Soirée

Do you come across all awkward the moment you realise you're rubbing shoulders with celebs and Hollywood high rollers? We unabashedly do. But you're going to have to keep your cool during your stay here because an A-list encounter is more or less inevitable. We find it's best to don some shades (preferably mirrored) so things don't become awkward. This mid-century modern home is cleverly designed to allow guests to have their privacy in a semi-detached bedroom while others stay in the main house. There are evergreen views over rolling hillsides towards Griffith Park from the bedroom and covered terrace, with dark wood flooring, exposed beams and jute rugs to keep you grounded in nature when inside. Oh, and one more draw, while Hollywood Boulevard is only a ten-minute drive away, we tend to prefer the more intimate community of Los Feliz. This more authentic LA neighbourhood tends to keep things on the right side of casual before it slips over into achingly cool.

Home truths:
*At full capacity, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the detached third bedroom
* You enter the home on the ground floor and then climb up a flight of stairs to the main living area and bedrooms
* The third bedroom is semi-dettached, and accessed by a flight of steps around the side of the house
*For stays longer than two weeks, there will be a weekly cleaning fee of $100 per week
*We would recommend you have access to a car to explore the area fully
*There is both onsite and on-street parking available
*Child-friendly amenities such as a travel cot are available upon request
